This five-week campaign is sponsored by BlueShield of Northeastern New York with partial funding by First Niagara Bank. Each paper angel tells the story of a child with a life-threatening medical condition who has had a wish granted. Angels may be purchased for $3.00 at area shopping malls and First Niagara Bank branches. Each year the Plattsburgh area campaign features children from Clinton, Essex, Franklin, and Hamilton Counties who had their wishes granted. You may order angels by mail for $3.75 each (includes shipping and handling charges). Click Here to use the form to order angels by mail. Please indicate on your form if you wish to support the Plattsburgh area campaign and receive paper angels featuring Plattsburgh area children.
We are a non-profit organization that has been granting the wishes of children living with life-threatening medical conditions since the chapter was founded in 1986. Since that time, our chapter has granted more than 700 children’s wishes.
All children between 2-1/2 and 18 years of age who have a life-threatening medical condition. For more information on referring a child, call our office at (518) 782-HOPE (4673). Children must be referred before their 18th birthday.
Children’s wishes are as different as the individual children who make them. Recent wishes have included shopping sprees, pools and computers, trips to Italy, Hawaii and Walt Disney World Resort and meetings with Jeff Gordon, Barney and the New York Yankees.
